Three things every school asks about. Solved.
Privacy compliance, teacher visibility, and the difference between watching AI and actually using it. We designed for all three from day one.
Privacy by design
No student names, emails, IDs, or other PII collected. Designed to operate outside FERPA and COPPA scope by collecting no personal information in the first place. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Teachers stay in control
Class codes gate access. Per-grade-band content rules are locked server-side. Every classroom gets its own dashboard, save-code workflow, and printable code card.
Real generative AI
Students write stories, design art, compose original songs, prototype businesses — using the same models professionals use, tuned to be developmentally appropriate.
Every studio teaches a different AI literacy skill.
All six are available in every grade band (3–5, 6–8, 9–10, 11–12) with grade-tuned prompts and reading levels.
Story Builder
Illustrated short stories with cover art and read-aloud narration. Teaches narrative structure and prompt iteration.
Art Studio
Generate, remix, and critique original images with an AI-written artist statement. Capped at 5 generations per session.
Music Creator
Original lyrics, album covers, and one real Suno song per session. Students learn structure: verse, chorus, bridge.
Business Lab
Product ideation, pitch drafts, and lightweight market thinking. Teaches AI-assisted brainstorming and revision.
Critical Thinker
Claims, sources, and "what would change my mind?" prompts. Teaches healthy skepticism of AI output.
My Future
Career exploration with role descriptions, required skills, and concrete first-step actions students can take today.
Compliance-first, by architecture.
K12 AI Connect runs as a browser-first web app backed by a thin same-origin proxy. The proxy exists for one reason: AI provider keys never reach the student's device, and safety moderation runs server-side where students can't see it.
- No student PII collected — nothing to store, breach, or subpoena
- Server-side OpenAI moderation gate on every prompt
- Per-session generation caps prevent runaway spend
- Same-origin CORS lockdown — proxy can't be tapped from another site
- Strict 30 requests/minute rate limit per session
FERPA
Designed to operate outside FERPA scope — no education records collected.
COPPA
No personal information collected from children of any age, so no parental consent mechanism is required.
State privacy laws
Aligned with SOPIPA-style requirements by collecting nothing in the first place.
District IT review
One-page security overview available on request.
Cost transparency built into the admin tools.
Every administrator account ships with a built-in cost calculator: students × sessions per week × weeks gives you a real-dollar estimate before the school year starts. Hard per-session caps mean a curious 6th grader can't accidentally drain the budget on infinite remixes.
For pilots and camps, set an OpenAI billing cap as a belt-and-suspenders protection — even an account-level leak can't drain more than the cap.
Three steps from purchase to first lesson.
No district IT integration required. Works on any device with a modern browser — Chromebooks, iPads, school laptops.
Teacher signs in
One login per classroom. The dashboard generates a 6-character class code and a printable handout for students.
Students enter the code
Code locks each student to the right grade band and creative studios. No accounts, no passwords, no email addresses.
Teacher collects work
Students share a save-code with the teacher via Google Forms. Teacher dashboard tracks usage and safety flags.
See it in your classroom.
Free pilot programs available for schools and summer camps. Demo accounts are live — try the teacher portal yourself in under a minute.
